Heartland Industries is a nonprofit organization that supports people with disabilities in pursuing their dreams. Operators Mike and Barb Hillenbrand have over fifty years of combined experience working with people with disabilities. Heartland Industries was developed when Regional Treatment Centers across Minnesota began discharging clients back to their county of responsibility. When this happened, clients became closer to their families and had the opportunity to live and work in their community. Second Time Around Thrift Stores were developed under the Heartland Industries umbrella with the same goals in mind. When our clients succeed, we believe that our work is worthwhile.
